New nvidia choice

Hi Everyone,

Have been running a 680sli set up for the last few yrs but one has just died so its time to get an upgrade

What is the best bang for buck at the moment I don't mind going sli again but a single card would be nice.

I run dual monitors asus VG278HE 1920 x 1080 144hz for gaming and a Dell U2713H 2560 x 1440 for photo editing

currently looking at the R9 295 X2 at the moment which I have found for around £540 so Im open to all suggestions

I do a lot of gaming and photo editing and I wont be going 4k route for a good few yrs

Is your GTX680 still under warranty?? It might be worth RMAing first.

Plus the AMD refresh should be released in the next month or so and I suspect Nvidia will probably release its next card too. Hopefully at least the new AMD releases will push the price of the GTX980 down a bit.

No out of warranty as brought it off a friend who Im no longer in touch with

This fella does not like that card very much:

Cross that one off the list

Wrong time to be buying. The 390X will beat it comfortably. Even if you had to wait a few months it would be worth it.

I think that might be the best idea for now
