new nvidia drivers artifacting

hi

updated to 178.28 for farcry 2 but in dark areas/dark scenes there's loads of little white sparkles (about a pixel in size) sparkling all over the place!! this only happened since changing drivers, anyone else having issues with 7 series and the new drivers?

While it might not be the case the 7900GS and GT do have a high failure rate with similiar symptoms... you might wanna try the latest 178.24 WHQL instead.

I updated to the same drivers and have not had any issues in Far Cry 2 (yet). One BSOD so far though

try the new 180.43 beta's...Kick ass drivers. Excellent for FC2

In fact it does say on the 180 release driver note that they are specifically there for far cry 2 to work without crashing

180's are not for 7 series cards though, they are only for 8/9/200 series.
