First post from a non techie noobie :D

Decided it was about time to upgrade my 7 year old Evesham PC which really has served me well with its 700 AMD Thunderbird 1meg of mem and a Gforce 2 GTS Vid card, sadly it obviously cant handle the "modern era" games :(
So I've bit the bullet and ordered a spanky new Titan Flame from OC details http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-139-OK

Now ......after speaking to the techy folk at OC about which OS sys to install, they recommend Vista 64 Bit.
My concern is what conflicts with my current hardware might I get ?

Can I get driver support for my old MS Pro force feedback joystick ?

Will my newish Lexmark WiFi printer X4850 be supported?

Will my old favourite game Medal Of Honour run ?(it does with 32 bit Vista)

Will Unreal Tournament 2 run nicely with the ATI card that comes with Titan Flame?

Will I still be able to transfer files/photos between my new PC and my daughters laptop running XP Pro ?

Any other conflicts that I might get ?

Errr...I usually use Firefox as my browser and Thunderbird for mail .....any probs with that ?

All help and advice will be much appreciated :)

Best Wishes for Hogmany and 2009 :D

1) Best search for the MS Pro Joystick and drivers for Vista. More than likely being MS it will have driver support.

2) If its "newish" then more than likely again. To be sure check lexmark website.

3) Again, not 100% but no reason why not. Especially if ran in compatibility mode.

4) Yes that graphics card will urinate on UT2 (And many newer games).

5) Yes if you get the correct version of Vista with networking (Not basic or home).

6) Firefox = ok, TB = ok to my knowledge.

Oh, and claimed :D

I have A ms force feedback 2, and it is supported but its not as good in games like it was in xp. Cos of this I havent used it at all in vista, Ive just bought a normal joystick to replace it.

Home premium is fine, it has the document share stuff on it.

Indeed, did I mean Home Basic? Meh not sure, I should really have memorised the damn differences between versions and features by now, considering some forum members deem it neccessary to ask every other day :p
