Hi guys,

Just setup a Onkyo SR-TX506, however i have my rear speakers in the "surrbackL/R" sockets, please note I am running a 5.1 setup however this is a 7.1 amp, when running the auto config using the MIC it fails I am presuming this is because it is looking for the other two speakers which i don't have.

I have been fiddling around with the options in the menu I can only seem to be able to disable the rear speakers altogether or have one of them, or have both of them working with the "other" two speakers which i do not have.

I have been told i can do this, but how I have no idea.

Any suggestions would be great.

For 5.1 try them in the Surround speaker connectors. Surround Back is for the two additional speakers in 7.1.
 
Ah yes beautiful :P

I swear i read in the manual somewhere to put them into the surround backs for 5.1 but nevermind all working now :D
