Well i've had a fiddle around with my overclock now that the paste and water etc has had a few weeks to settle and here's the max stable overclock I managed to achieve.

I chickened out on putting any more voltage through my cpu.. it's at 1.55v in bios 1.51 - 1.52v under load in windows. Still all in all not a bad overclock.

I managed to get 552FSB with cpu multi reduced to x6 instead of x8 and it passed every test in Orthos (10 mins each test)
It's my cpu now thats holding the board back, heres how I progressed with this overclock.

2.13GHz - 0.95v Stock speed and lowest stable volts.
3.00GHz - 1.20v
3.20GHz - 1.30v What i ran it at up to now.
3.40GHz - 1.40v
3.60GHz - 1.50v
3.70GHz - 1.55v

Any more than 3.70 even 2 or 3 fsb more just fails Orthos, and i'm just not comfortable putting more than 1.55v through my CPU.
The temps are lovely and cold on the chipset still, with the CPU temps around what I had on air @ 3.2 before I changed to water.

I actually tried all the Orthos test styles for about 10 mins each @ 3700 but only remembered to take a screen shot on the last one  silly me.

Still... thats not a bad overclock for a pretty old E6400.

Any opinions/comments welcome!

Great progress so far, however Orthos should be run for longer than 10mins ;)

Most people will run it for a minimum of 8 hours, although great clocks so far, and great temperatures :)

Yeah well in my experience Orthos 10 mins stable generally translates to game stable or general use stable really. I'll leave it on at 3.7GHz all night tonight and see how it goes. In the mean time, i've save that bios profile and have taken a jump down a bit to 3.5GHz @ 1.42v for every day 24/7 use. No point in that extra juice going through the chip for only 200mhz all the time.
That takes my idle down to 38/39 and 51-52 full load on each core.. perfectly acceptable for every day use.
I'll add that I have an ambient room temp of 23c and internal case ambient of 26c according to the 2 probes on my fan controler.

Bah!!! still not enought at 3.7 to get my vista score from 5.8 to 5.9 for cpu :( Everything else is 5.9!!
