Trying my hand at overclocking for the first time...on stock cooling for the time being

is there anything here that i should be worried about? this is at idle..just about to run prime test using the settings shown

test1.jpg

The cores got just under 80c after about 5-10mins of prime...scary stuff. Not sure wetger to just stock it back to stock before i damage something

i think ill wait till the end of the month and get an aftermarket cooler before i try anything, im aiming for 4.4 which should be manageable i believe

just ordered a "Cooler Master Hyper 612S CPU Cooler"

should arrive friday, got the house to myself that night also so will try blowing up my Pc then :)

Am i right in thinking that i just set the multiplier to 44 (if aiming for 4.4ghz) and then just keep decreasing the vcore offset until the computer fails the stress tests?

what about the turbo offset? that has me confused >.<

EDIT: something that ive just realised, when buying a new cooler like the one ive just purchased, do they come with thermal paste? i didnt think to order any >.<

Ok, i need some help....

My CPU was originally running at 3.4gig....i messed around with some settints and ran some prime tests then changed my mind (waiting for better cooling) so reset the bios to default.

I rebooted and my chip was reading a 3.6gig...i thought what the hey nm....ive now come back home from work and its showing as 3.8gig..i checked the bios and its all reading default...

wth is going on?

EDIT: 3.8 gig - .94volts @ idle
Temps are

MIN: 32/21//21/24
MAX: 42/35/33/30

EDIT:

Under primetime load it dropped to 3.6gig @1.16volts
MAX Temps: 67/70/67/70
