Hi guys,

Well I finally received my P182 yesterday and after a late one last night migrating my old system in, and tidying up the cables etc, I think it’s just about ready :D

First impressions are that this is a great case – it’s well designed/laid out and there seems to be plenty of room for expansion.

However, it wasn’t until this morning that I noticed that there is quite a nasty mark on the matt-finished plastic panel on the top on the case. I think I remember seeing it last night but I assumed it was just the shrink-wrap covering, similar to covering that is on the side/front panels?

I’m almost certain I didn’t make the mark but I don’t really want to have to exchange the case/strip down my system again just for something as trivial as this? How easy would it be to a.) Acquire the panel from Antec at cost to me and b.) Fit the panel? I’m not really even sure how it’s attached… Has anyone had any experience of this sort of scenario?

I know that Antec have a great reputation for spares and parts if you have anything faulty under warranty, but I was wondering how reasonably this service is for a paying customer? I don’t really want to start having to spend loads more cash this soon after buying the case.

Your thoughts :)

Cheers,

SW.

The plastic panel you describe is afixed to the case primarily by use of a strong double-sided adhesive tape (which will be heavily damaged if the panel is removed).

This is in no way a 'user serviceable' part so I think there's a slim-to-nil chance of Antec sending one of these out under warranty.

Thanks mate!

I got in touch with Antec and they said they'd replace the whole thing

I'm not really bothered now anyway - seems like a lot of effort, stripping down again for something that is purely cosmetic? You can't even see it when its under my desk :p

I really need to stop being so pedantic!

Cheers,

SW.

It's good of them to offer, though.
My thoughts entirely - but you can see my point, right? In hindsight, it seems such a long-winded exercise just to sort out something cosmetic :o

It's a nice feeling to know its there if I need it tho :p

One of my P182 dust guards has a broken clip so I will email them to see if they can do something about this, fingers x'd!

Excellent case :D
