Reasonbly OK - lots of bug fixes according to the .txt - BUT CPU speed incorrectly reported in bios and on boot-up ! If overclocking always says 2.99 gig ! Checked with a friend, and on upgrade his bios reports the CPU speed incorrectly too !

Bios reportadly fixes the "double-boot" I wonder if the CPU speed fix is something to do with that.

What speed is your CPU running at, is it overclocked & if so whats your FSB?

did you flash in windows or dos

some people at xs think that flashing in windows will show the incorrect cpu speed

hi there - flashed via Bios-USB Key route.

CPU speed at the time = 2.88G - showed as 2.99G

now CPU speed is at 3.2G - still shows as 2.99 - but Orthos stable, and CPU speeds correct in Windows

Double boot definately has gone - CPU temps seem a bit lower too !

Mark.

thanks for the link to the thread, very useful - that would probably clear it - just a bit of a pain to get to jumper at the moment.

tbh - if its only mis-reading in bios - and is Orthos stable - does it really matter?
probably not.

Mark.

Hmmm, never had any problems with this "double reboot" but when I press the power button, the fans spin for a second then switch off... it then boots properly after a few seconds. It has done this with all three BIOSes I have used. I've tried the power button plugged in both ways before you suggest that. :p

I'm running at 9 x 400 (3.6Ghz), with ram on 4:5 ratio, so at DDR2-1000.

Flashed using Windows Asus Update.....:)
