New Paper Shredder required

Both our old (cheap) paper shredders have died recently, they are cheapo Staples 5 page type ones.

Looking for recommendations for a 10-15 page in region of £50-100. Must be at least cross cut.

Any thoughts?

Anything by Swordfish. Mine has been going strong for 10yrs and used heavily each week. Something like the 1000XC or XCD as a minimum.

Interested in what it is you are shredding that requires a minimum of cross cutting, very few people have anything even worth the effort of bin diving let alone piecing back together a normal shred.

I thought cross cut was standard nowadays. Even my cheapo 5 page one has cross-cut.

I guess the big difference is that the OP wants to dump through large batches of paper, even though mines rated for 5 pages, i think it would struggle with 5 standard letter paper (whatever gsm they use).

The wife is the reason, as she is worried about personal data leakage, which means anything even remotely personal, get's put in the shredder.
