Hey all.

Pretty sure my mobo has died (on my 3year old rig)
first one of the pcie slots went weird, then a pair of dimm slots failed.

So looking at upgrading -
was thinking:
i7 2600 or 2600k
asus maximus iv mobo
8gb corsair dominator

But was planning on running my xfired 5770's untill i fork out for new gfx.
IS this going to cause a massive bottleneck?

I have been out of the loop for a while, so any advice appreciated.

(also does anyone know if ocuk can get hold of the dominator-gt kits, with cooler?)

And the olnly thisngs which have changed on my rig since i last updated my sig' are:
*A 500gb cavier black/ 2tb cavier black - both 6gb/s.
*Cordair h80 cooler.

Ah, i see.
SSd's have crossed my mind, just want to build a stable system first.
Have also looked into gen3 mobo's, but the likelyness of me upgrading from sandbridge isnt very likely in the near future.

Want to get the BEST componants available (currently) to futureproof my system for the forseeable future.
which is why i ruled out the i5, and vengence.

Looks like i may be budgeting to upgrade the gfx too now :(
cheers
