Hello, I'm currently looking to switch or create a new intel system as I need it for my uni course in which the required programme for editing on the course only runs stable on intel builds, I'm currently on an AMD build.

I would like a new build with a budget of £500 pound

and a partial build for £400 e.g. new motherboard, CPU and Graphics card.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here is the spec for the programme: http://www.avid.com/US/products/Media-Composer/system-requirements

P.S I'm running
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3)
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P AMD 770 (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
750W Cool Master PSU
OCZ Reaper 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C6 1333MHz Dual Channel
Western Digital Caviar Green 750GB SATA-II 32MB Cache
Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case - Black

1 x Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £145.99

Id try and get the same RAM as you've already got but i can't find it here. I think the one i specced may work with yours though.
