Easy get 3ghz mate but personally i would have got a better cooler as the quads do run that bit hotter.

What about thermal paste?

Got artic silver 5 here. Would have thought the artic cooler woulda been good enough though. :confused:

Could get a different one at a later date, just really can't be arsed buying one that needs the mobo to be removed to install.

The arcic silver is fine though i would have got the MX-1 (2-3 degress lower temps).

The Freezer 7 is quite a good cooler especially for the price, but again id go for something a little better like the Noctua, and yes you do have to remove the board to fit it which is a bit of a pain but it would be worth it in the long run and again id bet you would see another 3-5 degrees lower temps and its not as noisy as the Freezer 7 .

If youre sticking with the freezer 7 then you could use the paste already applied to the heatsink as its very similar to the AS5.

Is the back plate included with the noctua one of those sticky pad jobs or just a regular pad with the screws holding it in place?

Just ordered the 92mm version, hope i can install it on this mobo..going from the pics it looks pretty tight.
