Hi

My nan who is 64 years of age would like a new computer as her desktop is running slowly. Would it be possible to use her fujitsu case and install a new motherboard?

The reason why I'm posting is that I want to make sure that if everything is compatible with the motherboard. Here is the list:

What does re-casing mean? Does that mean to put the motherboard into the old case?

No, a new one mate - the rest of your parts selection constitute a PC anyway - it may not fit in the old case and the old case will be dusty and dirty anyway.

These are exceptional for the money - deathly silent and come with a great quality, efficient PSU :)

Looks good but mega overpowered unless your nan is a gamer :D

I'd go for a slightly slower CPU and check your motherboard choice, looks like it has onboard nvidia graphics which should be adequate apart from games. That would mean you won't need your GFX card :D

AAHHH!

The truth is revealed. You'll get a better response (i.e. more useful) if you give us the full picture mate.

Basically, your nan has an old PC that YOU can't run games on and YOU want to upgrade it :D
