Just watched this video from CES And this looks amazing!

Can't wait to see it get reviewed and to see if it's efficient And performs as well as they say it does.

Does anybody else have experience with coolermaster psu's?

It wan't mentioned in the video, but I presume this uses GaN transistors, which have brought PSU size down (and efficiency up) quite a lot compared to silicon. I wonder how much coil whine this produces? With no fan, that becomes the biggest source of noise.

Does anybody else have experience with coolermaster psu's?
My experience is that they are fine. Nothing exceptional. This new one looks like a step up thogh.

Interesting. That price ($600-700) is going to be an issue though and the current Seasonic Fanless 700W (Can be got for around $300) is actually a 850W/900W PSU masquerading as a 700W (given it's able to give 969W before its protections kick in). So only limited cases of needing that much power in a fanless config is going to be where that PSU is needed, especially with the price tag.

Would be interesting to see if Seasonic has something in the wings too.

I think it's safe to say that it's earlier adoption tax right?

What @Mr Evil mentioned about coil wine is something that we'll have to keep an eye on as well. But it would be nice to see this kind of tech really take off and become affordable someday if it turns out to be really good.

Does that mean Seasonic are the OEM for this?
Not sure. I know Seasonic is the OEM for the Silverstone fanless ones as well and some others. I am unsure if this one is a Seasonic OEM, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was. They have been the existing passive/fanless PSU OEM maker for a while. But who knows, maybe Cooler Master beat them to the punch on this (1000W+ fanless), as that's certainly possible too if another major player wants in on the action. Although for the last many years there's been no interest, so I don't know what might have spurred any makers into action. Especially for something so niche.

Quite the interesting product, and while I’m not particularly bothered by a fan on a PSU enough to make me want to buy one, the level of thought gone into the electronic engineering does make it a compelling product for me.
Still, it’s a lot of cash for a PSU…

Was absolutely blown away by this and thought omg i need one for the next project! Then i saw the price! Wow.... That's high end graphics card territory.

Ah OK makes sense - I haven't followed this market much. CM isn't a brand I'd associate with PSU when it comes to cutting edge.
