Brought some new memory to go with a new processor but can’t get the pc to post at all with the new memory all I get is error message 1d.

Motherboard is X570 tachi.
Cpu 5800x

I’m well out the loop but I’ve updated the bios to the latest, set all bios setting to default but it will not post at all. Put my original ram in and it boots straight away.

Any ideas.

Test one stick at a time and see if you get any joy, chances are you'll need to RMA though.

Set your dram voltage to 1.45
I have the same board and used 32gb of the Viper steel 4400 with no issues after upping the voltage.
To be honest it will run forever at 1.5v without any issues and it allows to clock the memory higher.

Note: The rated voltage for that memory is 1.45v setting the bios to default will probably set it to something really low like 1.2v and it will not boot.

And who says its the memory it could be a quirk of the Taichi.
Either way just run the Ram at the Manufacturers STATED voltage and everything is fine.
I fail to see how Patriot can be blamed if people cannot read the packaging that says 1.45V

I'm surprised because if you're buying the memory without spares, then there's no way of upping the voltage. Gaming memory is usually programmed to boot at 2133 or 2666 @ 1.2v, then XMP is enabled manually.

Yeah, it could be.
