I'd say this is in the wrong forum but you can't go wrong with the macbook pro, it's stunning, and after a few tweaks yuo could be running vista on there too so there's no better. :p

Just remember, Dont get a Muslem Graphics Card, They are not Very compatable at all.

:p

Played with a mate's MacBook Pro the other day. It looked nice but just didn't feel as fast as my dual-core Vaio. He also said he could get about three hours out of the battery, where I can manage five - so I'm quite pleased with the Vaio ATM.

yeah i thought the same about vaios...ive had 3 and every one something has been faulty  ...my first one it had a faulty keyboard replaced under warrenty but had to wait 3 weeks for the repair...2nd one the motherboard was faulty and was not under warrenty according to them even tho i know it was and cost me 500 to replace...3rd one ( current one the battery and charger have already gone nutso so i give up with vaio

Battery life depends on what you have it set up to do,

My Powerbook G4 is more than capable of lasting me through an entire days lectures on one battery, although I do have a pretty tight setup on it in terms of how quickly it goes to screen off/dim etc.

And the other big bonus of the mac is that the battery can be swapped in approx 5 seconds lol, requiring a two pence piece.
