New PC advice

Alright guys,

First post and looking for some advice on what to buy!!

I've got almost £1700 to spend however £400 is going on a laptop. Asus X50RL-AP5354C, unless there is a better suggestion from here for a similar price

Which leaves around £1300 for a base ... i've been drooling over the i7's but with decent graphics card there just hitting my limit!! Also looked at the overclocked systems!

Mostly do gaming, photoshop, and surfing

What suggestions you guys got for me?!?

£1,300 just for the box, or is monitor, keyboard, OS, etc. needed as well?

The GTX 285 isn't great value for money at the moment, but if you've got the budget then that isn't really an issue I suppose! It's a very nice card.

yeah kinda, but not sure what to reduce, it's kinda what i want!!. There is another company slightly cheaper! :-S Probably shouldn't be saying that!!

Well, if you shop around then you will probably find some places cheaper but you should keep in mind if anything needs to be returned, OCUK are pretty good.

Other place are over £100 cheaper .... have used before and Returned and replaced stuff before ... 1 day turn around!

I'd love to stick with OCUK, they look like cracking PC's they build but over the whole system there is quite a big saving for me!!
