Morning all

A friend is looking to buy or build a PC that can run Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield and Warhammer Total War well. He is looking to spend around £1,400 and already has all peripherals and a 1080p monitor (though may upgrade to 1440p at some point in the future).

I'm not totally sure what kind of spec he should look for, but I'm thinking that a 4070 should give him quite a bit of longevity, and he should pair it with a 7600X and 32gb RAM or similar (I have no real idea on Intel CPUs)?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Thanks both. Is the general consensus to go with the 7800XT? I thought it was worse than the 6800XT in quite a few games and the 4070 has DLSS3?

7800 XT is a bit faster for raster and has 4GB more VRAM, while the 4070 is faster with ray tracing enabled and has better stock energy efficiency. Simple enough to swap them out for your preference.
