Hi All,

I ordered the following;

Asus Sabertooth P67
i7 2600k
H80 Cooler
Corsair Vengeance 8GB
MSI GTX 580 Xtreme Lightning Edition 3GB
OCZ Vertex 3 120GB
WD 1TB Black 64mb cache

After I installed everything into the 600d, I booted up and found no problems. Got into windows and started installing drivers etc, however noticed I couldnt see the storage drive (WD 1TB) so restarted machine and went into bios to make some changes.

Computer reset and now for some unknown reason the VGA LED is now on. I have tried everything to conquer this issue, removed everything and installed again but still persists.

After checking the net, it seems a known issue for this board.

Can anyone help or advise? before I take a trip to OCuk this morning.

What changes did you make? Like you have same board(2500k) but no ssd. Have 1 seagate 1tb(o/s) and samsung f3 1tb(backup) and ide selected in bios. Both drives show in bios and "my computer". Have not heard of any known issues.
Did you install windows on ssd before connecting WD?

Do you have any links for this "known issue"?

Both drives showed in bios, however in "My Computer" the SSD was only there and cd drive. So I restarted and went to bios to check, and chaged from AHCI to IDE, once rebooted the red light popped up next to the VGA card. Now it wont go off after a full rebuild.

Upon OS installation both drives were connected and I selected the SSD for OS install.

Worked fine for about 2 hours, then this happened.

First try clearing your cmos and restoring to factory settings.

The wd 1tb wont show up in windows until its formated.
Go to start, then left click on "manage", Then click on "disc management" you can then format the drive and assign it a drive letter.

Looks like its faulty so taking it to be changed.

Have you tried another card(if you have 1) and follow snaggster`s advice. From what i`ve read on here SSD`s should be set to ACHI and windows installed before connnecting HDD`s.

Yup, tried 2 cards.
Both work in old prior to testing, but still red led light.
Even if you leave without cards, it still shows light.

You still hav`nt mentioned what changes you made in bios. As your problem seems to have occurred after these changes, it may help to diagnose the problem.

All sorted now chaps, board was faulty.
Swapped board this afternoon as technician confirmed it was faulty.
Just installed and working perfectly.

Thanks for your advice.
