Afternoon everyone, its been a while since I bought some kit to build a new PC but I'm looking to get back into it again with a new gaming rig.

The spec I am looking at is:

Corsair Carbide 275R White Glass Midi PC Gaming Case
ASUS Intel Z690 PRIME Z690-A PCIe 5.0 DDR5 ATX Motherboard (from other site)
Intel 12 Core i7 12700K Alder Lake
Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum RGB White 32GB 5600MHz DDR5 Memory Kit
Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe Performance SSD/Solid State Drive
Corsair RM750x White 750 Watt Fully Modular ATX PSU/Power Supply

So as you can see, abit of a white themed build going on and I need a graphics card to go with it

How does this build look, any recommendations on changes or graphics card?

No urgent need for DDR5 if the benefit isn't there. Happy to go with DDR4 as it'll mainly be used for gaming, photo editing and office tasks

Likewise it doesnt really need to be Intel - happy to switch to AMD if there is a good alternative

Cheers both, white items seem a bit harder to come by so dont mind going black items for some (memory, graphics card and cooler maybe)

As for the old Intel -v- AMD debate, is the 12700k really worth the extra or is something like the AMD 5800x a better option?

Ok so bit of shopping around and looking at the recommendations, I'm thinking of the below

Corsair Carbine 275r
Corsair RM850 White PSU
Asus Prime Z690-P DDR4 ATX
Intel i7 12700k CPU with nzxt Kraken X63 280mm AIO cooler
2 x 16GB Corsair DDR Vengeance Pro 3600
Palit GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming Pro
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M2 HDD

Sorry some items aren't in stock so couldn't add to basket to drop in the nice looking list haha

Think I've took on some of your recommendations

Rather frustrating that a lot of coolers require additional fittings for the LGA 1700 socket - is there any that come with them as standard or even fit without needing them?
