Hi, im looking for a new PC build with around £200 budget, the only game i will play is csgo which is more dependant on cpu than anything else.

My previous machine was;

AMD Phenom II 965 BE
4GB Corsair Memory DDR2
Nvidia 8600GT GPU
Gigabyte-GA-MA785GM-US2
PSU?
I will buy a cheap HDD from eBay second hand, not really fussed on that

I like the look of the Bulldozer/Piledrivers but its been 3 years since ive owned a PC so any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i3-4130 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £82.99
1 x MSI H81M-P33 Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £33.95
1 x SuperFlower Amazon 450W "80 Plus Bronze" Power Supply £31.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury Black 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Single Channel Kit (HX316C10FB/4) £29.99
1 x **B Grade** Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-252-SE) £24
1 x Aerocool V3X Advance Evil Blue Edition Midi-Tower - Black/Blue £21.98
1 x OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £10.99
Total : £245.50 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Included a cheap B-Grade hard drive, as it might be better to have a bit of warranty from OcUK on it?

Do you need a case or can you use your old one? Do you need an optical drive?

There's not enough budget for a GPU at present, unless you go for a Pentium and you want the best CPU possible for CS:GO...

AMD Piledriver would be a tad more expensive, when you add the motherboard.

Second-hand might turn out to be a better bet.

thanks, is this a good spec for £140?

HP DC 7800 775 Socket Mobo

-Memory: 4GB Installed.

Could i better this?

I found that rig on the web.

If you see the questions at the bottom of the page, the graphics card has been removed from the item. Now only onboard graphics. And 2.4GHz is weak for a desktop CPU these days. I had a 3.0GHz dual core which outperformed a 2.3GHz quad core at games.

So basically, you're getting something like this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Pentium G3420 3.20GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £46.99
1 x MSI H81M-P33 Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £33.95
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury Black 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Single Channel Kit (HX316C10FB/4) £29.99
1 x **B Grade** Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-252-SE) £24
Total : £144.53 (includes shipping : £8.00).

But second-hand and old socket.

You do get tower, and probably a crappy PSU, but me personally I wouldn't spend money on that.

Your original budget was £200-250? I'd save a bit more for something like:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i3-4130 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £82.99
1 x MSI HD 7770 GHz Edition 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £65.99
1 x MSI H81M-P33 Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £33.95
1 x SuperFlower Amazon 450W "80 Plus Bronze" Power Supply £31.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Fury Black 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Single Channel Kit (HX316C10FB/4) £29.99

1 x Aerocool V3X Advance Evil Blue Edition Midi-Tower - Black/Blue £21.98
Total : £300.49 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Unless I found a better second-hand deal. It's upgradable too, latest socket. Could take i5/i7 in future. PSU can handle 270X/GTX 760.
