new pc build advice needed

After a bit of thought i have decided to sell a load of pcc omponents we had in a couple of poorly optimized maxhines. Basically my son of 14 is a massive console gamer (ps3, ps4, xbox 360, x1 and a wii u hooked upto various tvs in his room ).

now he really wants to get into pc gaming and not sure what or how much to spend on a gaming system.

Basically will be 1080p gaming and only needs a tower, no os or m/b etc.

Obv i dont wanna spend a grand plus to find out he doesnt take to it likewise i dont want to skimp andf ind he cant run the games he likes.

Games most likely played will be older cod bf 3 and 4 skyrim etc as most new big releases will be bought fort he x1.


One thing he would like is a gfx card where he can game on one screen while using the internet on another. We have 2 monitors here.

Thnx that looks quite good and a bit less than i anticipated. How does that card fare against the gtx 960 as i noticed you get a free copy of the new mgs game???

Also is 2gb enough for 1080 gaming nowadays???

Would the 390 not be overkill for his gaming needs??? or is that gpu likely tol ast a fair while? i know hes desperate to get into cs:go hence the main reason hesw anting the pc, but hes never played with m/kb and im not sure how he will take to that
