get the q6600 standard as it will reach 3ghz anyway.

get a 3870X2 rather than 2 x 3870XT unless you have a specific need for 2 cards

Hello MacGruber, as jak731 has already stated, you would be far better of purchasing a standard Intel Q6600 since I am yet to hear about one not being able to reach 3GHz.

I would also have to agree with jak731 again in regards to the graphics processing unit as well. Purchasing a single ATI Radeon 3870 X2 would be slightly better than two ATI Radeon 3870 XTs.

As for the power supply unit you have chosen - You honestly won’t need a 1000 wattage power supply. For your particular system that you have specified, the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU would be more than sufficient. :)

Everyone seems to fail to mention the case.... WTF. £150 for that P.O.S, and the PSU....also WTF!? Get a corair 620W and save yourself some money for christ sake. Use the spare cash for some Dell 24" monitors. I would also get the 640GB WD drives too.

Also do you really need to spend £150 on a DDR 2 motherboard?
