I am looking to build a new desktop for a friend that can handle all the adobe programmes (photo editing and some video too) and also run 24/5 with a number of trading strategies software on it. Which downloads loads of data to put onto the charts i am looking at. It will need to accommodate at least 2 monitors as well. Ideally less the £600 or so unless there is a really good reason to spend more.

Can anyone recommend athe best specs for this, would it better to go with a xeon or core i7 processor for this uses?

Thanks in advance guys.

Just the actual tower/main unit part; cpu, motherboard, memory, additional graphics card if the onboard one is not sufficient, sdd etc. Already have extra hdds from older PC for additional data storage.

monitor, keyboards etc are not needed.

Thanks

Thanks, will the onboard GFX be sufficient or would spending extra on a graphics card be better.. There will be a lot of photoediting/photoshopping going on?

Would there need to a special graphics card needed or graphics cable in order to connect more than one monitor?

A GFX card will help, many Adobe programs use OpenCL or CUDA to accelerate stuff so either a suitable Nvidia or AMD card will do.

You dont need anything special as most support at least tow connected displays.
