New member here looking for some build advice.
It will be used mainly for gaming (Battlefield 4, next gen) and some time in the future I'll upgrade to 1440p.

What do you think of these parts guys:

GPU- Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Toxic OC 3072MB
Saw some members on Overclockers recommend this card.

CPU- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor -
Retail
MOBO- ASUS Z87 PRO Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) ATX Motherboard
RAM- Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
PSU- 850W Corsair RM Series 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply
SSD- 250GB Samsung 840 EVO Series
HDD- 2TB Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001
CPU Cooler- Akasa AK-CC4008HP01 Venom Voodoo CPU Cooler

Few things I'm uncertain with.

-Do you think the PSU can handle two of the Toxic cards in crossfire?
-Can you recommend a decent case? I was looking at the Fractal R4 but due to the size of the graphics card I'm unsure if it will fit. I'm open to your suggestions here.
Also been looking at the CM Storm Trooper
-Your thoughts on the MOBO would be greatly appreciated and your suggestions.

Thanks,
:)

Hey RJC,

Do you advise going with the 750W mate?
I heard the Toxic is rather power hungry.

Two motherboards? I assume the Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 is the one to go for here?

I would think the 750W should do as its a good make it will be likely that 750W is going to be a sustained rating rather than peak power that would give up after a while. My 7970 system eats 300 - 400 in total.

I can see that you might like to put one gfx card in now and add another later but Im not too much of a fan of that anymore cause of the performance issues of a 2 card system that means you better off just going to the next level single gfx level.

Oops, deleted everything which I did not need and missed the cheaper Gigabyte board!

And I thought I do a colour scheme :)

PSU should be ok, looking at the TweakTown review the got 446w with a highly overclocked 3960x which very power hungry, yours will pull a lot less.

Depending on your budget you could go for the 4770k which is £70 more @£239.99 'this week only' deal which started this morning and ends Wednesday morning next week.
