Hi folks,

Ive had my current rig around 2 years now and im looking to build a new machine as my GF will be taking my old i5 model. Ive lost touch with some of the new stuff thats hit the scene and was after a bit of advice on the build as I now stream and do some minor video editing on the system.

I was looking down the i7 skylake processors and a Radeon RX 480 for the GPU. Form factor isnt an issue anymore but think anything bigger than a midi tower would be overkill. Ive a few odd rigs up but then scrapped them and went back to re doing it. Just wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction for a good base.

Looking to spend about 1200 possibly 1000 if possible as i do want 2 new monitors as the one i have is almost 10yrs old.

Thanks as always.

EDIT: Will need SSD HD and windows too with my other half taking the old rig. Not sure how possible this is with the newer tech

The cooler is because its

A) cheap
B) need one for the CPU
C) it works.

A 240mm AIO for example will perform better as it has much more area for heat dispersion.

550W is fine and to be honest even a 450W will be ok if you do not overclock anything.

So the 550W will be fine to OC with?
