Hi

I built a PC last night and I get black screen only, doesnt show bios or option to go into it. Everything powers up even the keyboard.
I have:
i5 6400 CPU
2x8GB DDR4 Ram
Asus H110i-Plus motherboard https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110I-PLUS/ (new from Amazon)
650w Fractal PSU
1TB HDD without OS
Zotack 1060 GPU

I reseated the CPU and Ram and tried 1 Ram stick on both slots. Tried the HDMI on the board and GPU, also tried without GPU. I know the components work as I had to return an MATX board and that went into BIOS and an older HDD with OS)

So what can I do?

Are you connecting to a TV?i have had issues doing this on occasion
Try another cable?
Try a diff cable i.e. hdmi/vga/dvi?

TBH I don`t remember if I ever did, think I might have just used a different mobo as a htpc
Does the monitor default to 1 particular hdmi port?
Have you tried the other or the one in the front?if it has one?

Also, some monitors can have dodgy HDMI ports. With new builds, I've twice experienced no display (everything else powers on fine) until I swapped back and forth between both HDMI ports about 5 times, and switching monitor on/off, and all of a sudden display. So try persisting at that too, in case it's just that.

Tried on tv with 2 hdmi ports, still black screen.

Just to clarify, without having an OS, it should still show something on the display right? Like press f2 for bios?
