Hi guys first post
I finished building my new pc build yesterday using an amd 1090t and an asus crosshair iv formula mobo everything runs fine apart from one small problem. No matter what I do the cpu fan will not speed up past idle so the temperatures sky rocket when running a program such as prime 95 to stress test. The temps can jump 15 degrees in 20 seconds while using an arctic cooler pro 7 and a coolermaster scout case so there is no issue with cooling apart from the fan speed not increasing under load. I have double checked it is in the correct cpu fan connector, I have tried another cpu fan I had, the bios is set for pwn not dc fan and I have changed every bios setting under the sun and still no luck, Im starting to think its a mobo fan header problem If anyone could help me sort this I would really appreciate it.
Forgot to add when I use hwmonitor to monitor temps and fan speeds the program shows cpu fan speeds ramping up according to temperature however this is not actually happening. As you can see below its saying the fan speeds are wayyy higher than they are as currently all its doing is ideling.
