Hi I am buying parts to build my new pc. I have chose the following main parts:

1) *OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz / Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 Intel P55 Motherboard / Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-12800C9 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle

2) Corsair TX 850W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850TXUK)

3) Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

4) Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ)

5)Iiyama ProLite B2409HDS 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor

Could anyone advise me if there is anything I should change before ordering? - I will be running high performance games such as Flight Sim X and also music software such as ableton live which currently kills my pc.

I not bothered about the sound card etc, my main concern is about:
- Graphics card
- overclocked bundle
- PSU
- monitor

Thanks!

The setup looks really nice. Only thing that sticks out is that the corsair 850W seems a bit of an overkill, you could probably get away with a 750W or even a 650W but i'd wait until you get some more knowledgeable people answering :D

850w is a bit too much, i mean it's too much for my system, so 650w or 750w would also be fine.

Agreed, he doesn't need a 850W PSU.

However, this PSU is most efficient at around 50% load (most are) - which is 425W. It is reasonable to assume his system will draw about this much (maybe a bit less) - and thus the PSU will be running at its most efficient and saving him money.

Also, it gives him some serious upgrade headroom and a 5 year warranty for piece of mind.

Thanks for the replies. I selected for the 850w because i think its a good deal and might as well edge on the safe side. just waiting on the graphics card to come back in stock and your opinions before i purchase. The monitor i chose has a hdmi input and also 2ms response but thanx 4 the suggestion of the other one!
