Howdy all,

Since helping my brother spec his new PC I have been lurking around the forum for a while reading about everyone elses builds. I have finally decided to build myself a new PC mine is about 5 years old, it will mostly be used for rendering animations and gaming.

I already have the Phantek Enthoo Luxe and a load of corsair fans, a 2tb hdd and a GPU (probably be upgraded later), im hoping to mod out the case a bit and eventually add a custom water cooling loop.

This is what i have come up with so far:

Intel 5930K 3.50GHz (Haswell-E)
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 2666MHz
Asus X99-A
Corsair RM Series RM 750
Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO

What do you guys think of this build and any suggestions for a cpu cooler (air) to do with untill i get watercooling installed?

anyy suggestions would be great :)

Thanks i hadn't seen the bundles before makes it a bit cheaper :)

Whats the reason for the different RAM and PSU is it simply a lower price?
I have read up on RAM but i'm not sure I 100% understand it all well enough.

These forums are great, getting loads of ideas for future projects :)

Yeah the bundles are great value.

The RAM is much cheaper, fast enough (2400mhz) with decent timings too..

The PSU is a much better than the corsair unit. While being cheaper too..

I think that spec is spot on.

Doomespeed has Pretty much has summed it up, also the EVGA comes with a 10 year warranty :)
