Hi All,

Looking to build a desktop PC for Web Design needs.

As it needs to handle the Adobe CC suite I was thinking min 32gb Ram, 8-16gb Graphics card, 1tb SSD and 4gb hybrid HDD.

Would anyone have any thoughts on this?

Many thanks,

Alex

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd assume that web design doesn't use any (or few) of the GPU accelerated features, so I'd have thought a basic card, or even the IGP would be sufficient?

I suppose it depends what other tasks (like video editing?) are being done alongside the graphics work.

and 4gb hybrid HDD.

Do they make SSHDs anymore? I thought they were goners.

Thanks for responding, Photoshop and Illustrator certainly need a bit of power and would be nice in the downtime to use Steam and games purchased on it. However these are unlikely to be recent releases.

As far as the storage solutions go then maybe to go with several SSD drives and a backup HDD.
