New PC Build - Help Please. ;P

Hello there,

I am planning on building my own PC. I have spent some time changing my mind on components and would like some honest opinions on my recent list of components:-

Seeing as I only have a 19" 1366 by 768 monitor, I have also included a new full HD monitor, in my budget.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. My budget has been revised and it's £670 absolute max. Including PC tower, monitor, speakers, mouse, and keyboard etc etc.

Intel Core i3 2100 3.10GHz Socket 1155 3MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor. £93.51.

XFX 550W Core Edition Pro PSU. £49.07.

Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATA II 7200rpm 32MB Cache. £39.00.

LiteOn iHas224 24x DVD +/- RW DL RAM & Lightscribe SATA Optical Drive - OEM Black. £14.49.

Benq G2420HD Full HD TFT LCD 24" HDMI Monitor. £135.82.

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 - BlueTrack. £29.99.

HD-687A-ZDBC - 1GB XFX HD 6870 Black Edition, 4600MHz GDDR5, GPU 940MHz, 1120 Stream Processors, DVI/ HDMI/ mDP. £138.82.

Coolermaster Elite Black Mini Tower Case with Rear 120mm Fan w/o PSU. £26.87.

4GB (2*2GB) Corsair DDR3 XMS3 Classic, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, 1.50v. £30.48.

MSI P67A-G45 (B3), Intel P67, S 1155, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2133, Xfire, SATA 6GB/s, SATA RAID, ATX. £94.40.

Total Approx : £652.45. Leaving me with £17.55 to play with.

** I am also in need of some speakers. :( Any suggestions?
** Could anything be improved/replaced?

hmmm i would change the case, have you seen the new midgard white knight for £20 :o which will be in stock on friday?
and you dont really need a p67 board as the i3 SB cannot be overclocked, a nice H61/H67 board will be enough.
the rest is fine

Will I be able to play games that are out now and future games upto mid 2012 maybe? on high to max settings?

Or am I being a bit too optimisitc? :(

Also thanks for the case and motherboard tips, will look into it. Could you recommend me some speakers? Maybe logitech/creative?

yes, you should be able to on high anyway not sure about max.
speakers, i cant comment :D
headsets, maybe :D ordered the plantronics gamecom 367 today which should be arriving on thursday, got a lot of good reviews.
 
Any other suggestions? I am still in need of some decent speakers. Come to think of it I wouldn't mind a better case, but it will need to be within budget hopefully.

Will a 1080p 22" monitor be okay?
Will cheapo logitech speakers and keyboard be okay?
Does it have to be a 1TB HDD or is 500GB enough?

Ooh, that looks very good. In your honest opinion what do you think of the build? I was planning on just buying a build without the monitor and sticking to my 19" 1366 by 768 monitor.

What do you think I should do? I'm torn between the two. :L Also can that case be in black? I personally don't like the white one.
 
Not for £20 it can't.

And you need a sub woofer dude, do get a 2.1 system.
