New PC Build Help Req's

Hi,

Just found this forum yesterday, what a god send been looking for a popular forum to get decent advise for my new PC I'm hoping to build in the next couple of weeks.

I've got some idea's but would be greatful for opinions and some advice whats there please....

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

CASE: Aplus Twin Engine Case

Mobo: Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650

HDD: Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache

RAM: OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2

PSU: Enermax Noisetaker 370W EG375AX-VE

Graphics: BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7300 LE Turbo Cache 256MB DDR TV-Out/DVI

Monitor: V7 L22WD 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor


I do not use my PC for gaming, its mainly used for video editing and encoding, work (excel, powerpoint, word etc) and internet. I'll be running XP Pro S2.

tbh. The rest looks good, but an E6300 will likely be more than sufficient.
 
Yeah I opted for the E6600 just simply for fact I allowed £200 for a CPU and not heard a bad word about them so far.

I'd read up alittle before hand so the info helped me change afew bits before posting this up.

Anything else I missed?
 
Just out of personal preferance I would get a modular PSU- if you don't want to spend much more than you are already spending on a PSU then the Enermax Liberty 400W can be had for just £2 more however if you can spend a bit more then I can't recommend the Corsair 520W enough :) Not that you will use all that power mind, but it's always good to have a bit spare for future upgrades :cool: Also, if you are going to stick with the 7300 card then get the Asus one as the BFG one uses Turbo Caching which uses your system RAM ;)
