Hello all,

So I've built the PC plugged both power cables to the motherboard, cpu fan is in and nothing no lights no power any suggestions?

you checked you have the plugs for the power switch in the right place? also worth trying to bridge the power pins with a small screwdriver

does the gpu require a pcie power (6/8pin or both) from the PSU?

system specs would be a good place to start

Yea it takes 1 6 pin that's plugged in but nothing.

From what I can tell the card fan spins for a few seconds then stops as it loads into windows. Would this be a case of me needing to go into bios to change a setting maybe from intergrated gpu to the 1060??

I know my system will boot up with the onboard GPU enabled but takes some of my RAM until I disable it.

The fans on that card turn off when below a certain threshold to reduce noise.
good point. My 970 also does this.

whats happening when it loads into windows?

do you have windows installed yet? do you have a monitor connected?

You had me for a second there I did actually check lol

My buddy managed to do it and honestly couldn't figure out why his PC wasn't working. Turns out he had a HDMI into the Motherboard and his CPU had no integrated graphics haha.
