New PC build not working

Just put together the following PC;

Silverstone Grandia GD05B Case
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H Mobo
AMD Athlon X2 250
Corsair XMS3 Classic 4GB DDR3 1333 Mhz (2 x 2GB)
Liteon Blu Ray Drive
Hitachi 500GB HDD
500W ATX PSU

Put it all together, and powered it on....

Fans (Case and CPU) all work and can hear the HDD and Blu Ray drive working. But get no POST beeps (although I have no speakers connected externally or in the case) and no display output.

Its currently connected via HDMI to my HD TV

Any ideas? As far as I know I put it all together correctly following the motherboard & case instructions.

Try connecting via VGA or DVI (whatever other options you have. As it may not output to HDMI straight away?

Just tried, had a DVI adaptor so used that but still nothing.

Then I noticed that the HDMI lead wasn't fully plugged into the splitter. Pushed it in properly, restarted the PC and hey presto

Thank god for that, and theres my dumb act for the night LOL
