New PC build problems. Please help!

Hi,

A friend of mine has recently bought a new build and he's been having problems with getting it running. All fans spin and lights come on except the CPU fan which comes on and then goes off. On the monitor a message saying no signal appears.

He has the following setup:

Intel E2180
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3
GeIL Ultra Low Latency PC6400 2GB Kit
POV 8800GT 512MB
Corsair HX 520W
Samsung Spinpoint SATA-II 160GB

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

best thing to do with this kind of prob 'go back to basics' unplug all power cables (including fans) leaving only the motherboard's 20+4 pin in and the gpx card's 6 pin pci-e in then turn it on, if it works plug rest in one at a time.

EDIT: All power cables that come from psu (so leave cpu fan plugged)
