Ok So I finally got around to building my new PC.....using some parts from my existing PC.
I've built many PC's before but it been 3 years since my last build and i'm a little rusty.
Antec 1200 Gaming Case
Asus Crosshair IV Formula AMD 890FX
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler
8GB G.Skill RipJawsX DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5
120GB Vertex 3 SSD
2x 1TB Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3
2TB Samsung SpinPoint F4 EcoGreen
HiperPower Type-R 680W
X-Fi XtremeMusic
LG GGW-H20L // Pioneer DVR-111DBK
Windows 7 Professional 64
First thing I had to do was figure out how to setup the Kuhler Rad & fan, I see most people go for the push/pull config so I swapped the lower exhaust fan with the kuhler fan/rad but I don't have any long screws to attach the case fan onto the radiator....where can I find these.
I then made the rookie mistake of installing the Crosshair IV into the case before testing it outside so the CPU LED was red when I tested the board. When I removed the Kuhler pump it pulled the CPU out of the socket so I checked the pins and doh...
I looking for guides on how to fix bent pins so if anyone has a suggestion and damn that kuhler was a little tricky to attach.
Also as my PSU's been running 24/7 for 3 years would it still be good?
I guess I'll have more questions esp with SSD but I'll save that for later.
