Hello folks. Sorry for yet another 'help me spec my new pc' thread but having browsed a few others already I decided I needed to post.

The sticky with example builds is great, but it's a bit out of date now.

Current spec:

AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition
Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe mobo
Radeon HD 4870 (512)
8GB DDR2 Crucial Ballistix Tracer
OCZ Vertex3 120GB SSD
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Samsung 24" SyncMaster P2450

As you can see, fairly aged now, with a couple of upgrades along the way (CPU, monitor and SSD). I've just purchased a CM Storm Trooper case and originally planned to move everything over to it. I'm now thinking I want a new rig and would like to get into Intel as my last 3 rigs have all been AMD. Typically AMD have always been cheaper but now that I'm slightly better off I think I can treat myself.

I know the first question is always, what's it for...well mostly just WoW, but I do want to be able to run it (and the next exp pack) in Ultra settings and not drop below a respectable frame rate, even in busy areas. My current PC is playing WoW pretty well on High settings but in cities and busy areas the frame rate drops to about 25fps. I also don't want to build a 'wow' rig, it needs to play other games should I choose to (thinking SC2, D3 now).

The next question is always budget...well if I try to buy it all now in one go, probably £500-600 but if I buy parts over a few months I could double that. I'm always worried about spreading purchases over a few months that by the time I've got everything, there's much better stuff on the market...what do you think?

I've had a go at putting a spec together, what do you think?

OcUK GeForce GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £299.99
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99
Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850HXUK) £123.98
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £104.99
Samsung Green 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit (MV-3V4G3D/US) Sub Total : £635.78

Thanks in advance.
