Hi all,

I have just built a new PC for my friend and I cannot get it to start up.The components I have used are:-

Abit GD8 Pro Intel 915P (Socket 775) PCI Express Motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 524 "LGA775 Prescott" 3.06GHz (533FSB)
Crucial 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2 PC2-4200C4 Dual Channel Kit
BFG GeForce 7600 GS OC 256MB DDR2 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 160GB ST3160812AS SATA-II
OcUK Value Estar 7799 Case With 400W PSU (CA-012-OK)

When I switch the power on there is no light on the motherboard.I have tried a different PSU but no luck.Any ideas please?

Guess what everybody, silly old me had not realised I had to fit both power leads onto this motherboard, because the slot on the board is 24 pins and the connector is only 20.Now it lights up,I will put the rest of the system together and hope it all works.Sorry for being so daft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
