New pc build

Hey,
im building a new pc for battlefield 3 and these are the parts i think im gonna get, not sure which motherboard to get yet or whether i should use a stock or custom cooler tho but here's the parts i picked so far

CASE - nzxt phantom

SSD - 2*128gb crucial m4 ssd-purchased

PSU - 1200w antec psu

COOLER - ?
CPU - i7 2600k

RAM - ripjaws x 8gb ram-purchased

GPU - 6950 2gb (crossfire for 2560x1440 monitor?)

HDD - ?

MOBO - ?

MONITOR - dell 2560x1440

SPEAKERS - ?

Just edited it there, im gonna use a 1440p monitor
I already have the two ssds, maybe i should sell one? is 128gb enough. Im getting 1200w incase i crossfire it and than add a physx card liek 9800 gt

Just incase i use 3 gpu's and as i always say the bigger the better eh?

What do you mean system temp and user temp? I was also thinking of selling one ssd and getting a 2tb hdd, id put the OS as you said so on the sdd but everything else on the hdd

K i wont use physX then, not much use anyway only for arkham city.Im getting the gpu, cpu and psu off someone who bought them off OC but is instead going to get a cheaper build so im getting better value off them three so i think ill stick with them. I also may wait until hdd prices come back down and ill just use a ssd until then.
What looks better a white or black nzxt phantom, i was gonna get a white one to make it stand out more

Well, like i said im getting it at a discount, and ya cant disregard it when it costs only a little more off him than an 850w psu does can ya?

@stulid i already have the ripjawx ram, will that do? Im no gonna get the 7970 either cause i dont want one that expensive, the 6970 will do me and later ill crossfire it

Hmm, i wont be overclocking much so i wont need coolers as good/expensive as that

Im getting the i7 for 205 and the psu for 100 off a friend which doesnt cost much more so ill get them

How would a 6950 2gb handle skyrim on 2560x1440?

Instead of getting the 1200w antec psu i was thinking of getting the corsair tx850w psu but would that hold me back in any way compared to the 1200w one?

Still dont understand the idea of getting a i7 CPU (its features are wasted in games) showed you a link in post#3

Im getting it for only 40pounds more so i think its worth it

He's laughing at your desire to have over the top stuff not needed for this spec, the money saved could get other items (GFX card) that will make a difference in games.

what card could i get with the saved money instead?
