Hi guys, made a post few days ago about new build decided against SFF and want a general build for around £2500 including the monitor. This will be used for gaming.

Any help would be greatly apprieciated.
 
Need an OS, keyboard, mouse etc?

Is the asus rampage board any good ? thinking id rather a single graphics card over SLI

Is unnecessary expense, it's aimed at overclockers than use Liquid nitrogen.

Also Z97 will be faster than X99 for a gaming PC as the cores speeds are higher and games certainly dont use more than 8 threads.


The first and last specs are single GFX cards but ready for a 2nd later.
 
Not much.

USB or PCI_E card is what you want.

Dual band etc Wireless ac, n etc for the speed (300mbps vs 150) or higher.

I always just use a direct ethernet cable for the best connection possible (need it in some of these twitch games like BF4)
 
is there anything else i need other than these bits in building a computer from scratch ? this is my first time :P wanna cover all bases
 
Nope.

Paste comes pre-applied to the Corsair cooler.

PSU has all power cables.

Motherboard has data cables for the drives.

If you want to install from the disk directly then add a DVD drive (maybe an external USB one).
