I have inherited an empty Corsair Series 480T pc case from a friend and will be looking to start buying parts fairly soon. I have a budget of about £1,000 to £1,250 for the components amd am looking for advice on which parts to buy.

Ideally I would like a higher spec motherboard to allow better future upgrades in the future.

The PC use will be for gaming but does not need to be high end spec gaming.

Any advice would be welcome.

Gone AM5 platform with 7600 cpu, Motherboard has pcie 5 for future upgrades.

GPU 7800xt which is faster than the 4070 and cheaper.

Windows keys can be had cheap and CPU cooler get the Thermalright Phantom spirit 120 for £30 it's the price to performance king.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £1,198.90 (includes delivery: £7.99)

£100 more and you've got the 4070 super now... it's actually pretty decent now, with..HU had 1440p av 112fps vs 93 for the 7800xt, and of course it'll have way better ray tracing (a plagues tale with rt is 75fps v 53, actually their 6 game av was 83 v 69 for 1440p with rt) and has dlss too...worth considering now...so not just a straight 7800XT pick, not that it isn't a great gpu...just worth looking at
