Can anyone reccomend a new build PC & Monitor.

Required for gaming with longevity in mind. Nothing else, just gaming.
£1,600 budget. Would stretch to £1,850 if there's justification to,
I don't need an impercitiple imrpvement in FPS for an extra £100 but if it lasts a year or two longer I'd happy to pay a bit more.

A pre-built one would be preferred but I can build it myself so if I'll save £200 I'll do it myself, I've not built one for 10 years but used to do it often so sure I can manage.

Not looking to break any benchmarks or win any E-sports by the nano-second just a solid gaming PC that will last me as long as possible.
I'm thinking a 34" ultrawide for the monitor? I sit at arms length at a desk so that might be too big? Currently have dual 24"

M-ATX alternative build, but with a 7900XT instead of a 4070tiS:

The 7900XT has more VRAM and is faster in rasterization while being £100 cheaper, although the 4070ti Super has better ray tracing and technology such as DLSS which many prefer to the AMD alternative of FSR. Depending on the games you play, one might be better than the other so it's worth reading up things regarding your favourite/most played titles.

There's some decent 34" ultrawides available for around the £300-400 mark which you'd have money left over for.

Edit: Included an ultrawide that has favourable reviews at the price point:

Thanks Gray for the alternative- is there a good list or article that articulates which games where AMD/nvidia outperforms/makes better use of the DLSS vs FSR or vice versa?

You can compare the two directly in this review at various resolutions for a number of games.

I do know that CoD (Warzone) heavily favours AMD over Nvidia, as do a few other titles so it really does depend on what you prefer to play.

Semi recent article on upscaling tech such as DLSS and FSR:

Personally, I do prefer DLSS and find Nvidia's frame gen tech to be very good. However, I find the 4070ti Super a hard choice given it's a good £100 + more expensive than the 7900XT. There were some deals to be found recently that had 4070ti Supers for around the £650 mark, but I have no idea if they're still available.

Sitting between the oxygen with 7800xt and 4070ti/7900xt. on @Gray2233 techspot the 1440p raster av was 127fps 7900xt , 120 fps 4070tisuper, 108 fps 4070super and 99 fps 7800xt. Turn on ray tracing though and 10 game av changes for 1440p to 4070tisuper 84 fps, 4070super 76fps, 7900xt 66fps and 7800xt 50fps.

Aldso need to consider some new games like Avatar and Star wars outlaws has rayracing baked in, which you can't turn off. that and dlss, I think you have to look very hard at the games you're going to play

If you dont want to build yourself, you can email a build to OCuk, and they'll build it for you..just bew aware their own prebuilds, they tend to put a crummy psu in(the oxygen is a bronze 750w with a a620 mobo...they charging too much i think), so I'd swap that out also
