Hi all,

I've decided to buy a new PC for the for gaming @ 1920 x 1080 (Skyrim and Diablo III mainly, with some older games such as TF2, Dirt3 and Borderlands) as well as light photo/video editing.

Budget is between £400-£500. (With free delivery :P)

I only need processor, motherboard, ram and video card (My current PSU is a Xilence 480W, not sure if this will need upgrading as well).
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
I won't be overclocking.

I've been checking the recent threads from other posters with similar requirements to me and have come up with the following:

(My case is full ATX, so if there are better motherboards out there they don't need to be Micro ATX)

How does this look? Any ideas on how well Skyrim would run on this?

I've still got around £75 worth of budget to play with. This can either go towards a new PSU if my current one isn't up to scratch, or be put towards a better graphics card..etc...

Thanks.

Thanks everyone.

My current PSU is a Xilence XP480 480W.

I see the OCZ 650W is only £5 more than the 550W at the moment due to this weeks offer, so if a new PSU is reccomended I'll get the 650W one.

Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.98

Out of curiosity, what's the difference between this motherboard and the one I chose? Is it to do with the processor you suggested, or is it to make room for future upgrades? (SLI capabilities..etc..).

I'm not too fussed about a modular PSU, I'd rather save the £10 as well as have an extra 100W from the OCZ brand.

I know I previously mentioned that I won't be overclocking...but I have always wanted to try it, so I think I'll go for your suggestion RJC:
