New PC Christmas games

Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone can reccomend some games which will stress my new christmas PC. Is Crysis still top dog for graphics?

Looking to get Metro 2033 myself, however it seems I've just missed the £5 deal. Reckon it'll be in the Steam Christmas sales?

Don't forget to patch it with the 'Complete' mod. The 2009 released complete mod is being re-worked atm so it should bring some nice changes, when it's finally ready.

Metro 2033 is definitely top of the graphics chain at the moment but I'd also you try.

All 4 Oddworld games (Abe's Oddysee, Exoddus, Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath) are all gonna be 50% off for the first day

Couple of games I've not been able to stop playing recently are FIFA 11 and Fallout New Vegas.

The 2009 mod is already (excuse the pun) 'complete' but if your surf the web you'll find that a 2009 (2012) version is being updated. Whether it is expected finished in 2012 or the numbers signify something different, I'm afraid I don't know. I only stumbled across it last night.

Pavel, the gent responsible for this work of excellence, is working on trying to get Call of Pripyat 'complete' ready for use by the end of the year. I don't think he's far off but I can't see it happening since we only have days left, and I can't see him being glued to his PC over the Christmas period.

Anyway, back to the complete mod, no reason why you can't reinstall it over the holiday. Here is a list of the dates with the relevant mods ammendments. I might give the latest patch a go myself actually.

have heard metro 2033 is the game to test performance, pity you missed out on the sale last week btu it may pop up again soon

Yes I am enjoying metro 2033 at the moment and it does look very very very good
