Hi

I'm looking for a new PC to replace my current one which is around 7 years old. Used for occasional gaming I'm not too bothered about running games at the very highest spec but I would like to be able to play new games at a reasonable quality. I've been looking at the "Titan Dagger" system:

With the basic options + the £20 DVD drive and Windows 10 the cost comes out at about £550. The only option I would maybe upgrade would be the graphics card from the 950 to 960 but don't really know a lot to know how much difference this would make.

Keeping the budget around £550 with Windows included, could I get a better custom built system? I was looking at the pre-built system for easiness but if custom can be a lot better my brother could help with putting it together.

Thanks

The 960 is obviously a step up from the 950 and the price difference isn't usually that much. There is also the 380 as an option.

Obviously the system you linked is one of the unlocked pentium chips, which are good, but if you start spending to much on a GPU I would recommend stepping up to an i3.

Personally I might consider a new I3 skylake with say a GTX950, as it might have better upgrade paths for the future. Price wise your talking around 550-600ish.

Custom build will always save you a few pound, just depends if you want the hassle.
