Hi there
The PC is for the wife, she mostly does image/photo editing, the odd video editing and then web browsing and printing and such. She has an old AMD 3800 system at the moment and it does crawl at the best of times when she works.
Now I already have win7 retail from her existing PC to use as well as 2 x 1tb Samsung hdd's which I'll put into the new PC once built. Also have a screen, so just need a base unit and below is what I was hoping to get for sub £550. Any comments on this, things that may not work together or any suggested improvements.

Thanks for any responses.
Oh, and I have no idea others do the non image spec posts where it has the url's to the OCUK store and pictures at the bottom, can someone tell me the secret behind doing this ?

That is a pretty well balanced system. I personally would have stuck with the stock cooler unless overclocking or doing anything to 'stressful' for the system, but other than that it's very balanced and should offer great performance :)

Thanks for the feedback. I will look to overclock it a bit and also wanted a quit cooler, last stock cooler I tried was very noisy. As this PC is in my living room I'd want it as quiet as possible.

Stulid, any reason why you recommend the Akasa, I can't find much in terms of reviews on the web for this model.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX) £40.79
1 x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU) £39.95
Total : £89.44 (includes shipping : £7.25).

Some alternatives for the RAM which are slightly cheaper....i use the kingston stuff myself, It's not a massive saving granted but every lil helps. Stulid has already suggested a slightly cheaper heatsink to help save another couple of quid.

Nothing wrong with what you have spec'd, nice work :)
