New PC For Photoshop / Lightroom

Hello,

My dad is looking for a new PC for photo editing.

Is there stuff that is good ? lots of RAM ? multicore processor ? Decent gfx ?

I know nothing about photo editing so any help is appreciated.

Decent monitor and a method of callibrating it for colour reproduction. Many times you make a judgement on-screen of what looks good, if your monitor is not accurate then what other people see will be different from what you see. Anything else just affects the speed of your processing so yes, powerful CPU, loads of RAM and fast NVMe are very nice, but the monitor setup is critical.
