New PC, instal windows 7?

Hi Folks,

I am getting the new components today for an i7 rig. I have vista home premium but also have downloaded windows 7 from ms.

Is it worth putting windows 7 straight onto my pc or shall I just stick to vista? I don't really want to dual boot I just want the best performance for my gaming pc.

As long as you are prepared to reinstall the computer with a working OS in 7 months time then I would be inclined towards Win7
