Hi all,
I have built my new pc and checked all connections again. But everytime I switch it on. PC powers up (All fans spin, lights come up on all hardware) for a few seconds it shuts down and then repeats again a few seconds later.

Any ideas?

Try a CMOS reset, sometimes works.

Check the ram is in the correct slots, some boards can be fussy what slots are used.

Have you remembered all power connection including the 8 pin for CPU power as well as the main ATX connector, also the same goes for the Grpahics card if your using one.

Also what cooler are you using as this can sometimes warp the board, usally cracking off the screws a fraction can help.

Are you sure the cooler is making contact with the CPU? This could be a thermal shutdown issue. I made this mistake once when I had the cooler rotated 90 degrees from how I should have installed it and there was a ~3mm gap. I cooked the CPU before I realised.

Could someone confirm something for me. Installed my 980TI. Not used the cables provided used cables supplied with my power supply. Put a 6 pin and 8 pin PCI express cable from graphics card to my power supply. Is that correct?

Yes, always use if possible PCI-E power cables from the PSU :)

Edit: what model graphics did you go with?
